Main Street in Orfordville, WI<\/a>.&nbsp;God&#8217;s work at Orfordville Lutheran began nearly 150 years ago in 1868. But we believe God continues to work in our lives &#8211; forgiving us, transforming us, and calling us to love and serve our neighbor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">As a congregation, we&#8217;ve discerned a mission statement: Do justice. Love kindness. Walk humbly with God.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Here are some examples of how we try to live that mission statement everyday:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><strong>Do justice:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">We do justice when we partner with the <a href=\"https:\/\/orfordvillelutheran.org\/OLC\/community\/food-shelf-c-u-p\/\">C.U.P. food shelf<\/a> to provide food for the hungry.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">We do justice when we assemble <a href=\"https:\/\/orfordvillelutheran.org\/OLC\/missions\/lutheran-world-relief\/\">school kits, health kits, and quilts<\/a> for those in need through Lutheran World Relief.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">We do justice through our <a href=\"https:\/\/orfordvillelutheran.org\/OLC\/missions\/forks-for-sustainability\/\">Forks for Sustainability<\/a> fund.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><strong>Love kindness:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">We love kindness when we pray for one another and bear one another&#8217;s burdens.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">We love kindness when we have fun together and take the time to enjoy one another&#8217;s presence.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">We love kindness when we care for the sick and homebound or when we celebrate communion in hospitals and nursing homes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><strong>Walk humbly with God:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">We walk humbly with God when we gather to study the Bible together.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">We walk humbly with God when we confess our sins in worship.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">We walk humbly with God when we care for and educate <a href=\"https:\/\/orfordvillelutheran.org\/OLC\/children-youth\/\">the next generation<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">OLC is a congregation of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elca.org\">Evangelical Lutheran Church in America<\/a> and part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scsw-elca.org\/\">South-Central Synod of Wisconsin<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/orfordvillelutheran.org\/OLC\/contact\/\">Contact us<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OLC is a church family that gathers weekly to worship Jesus Christ and seeks to follow Christ&#8217;s way of love and service in our everyday lives.
